psalm 121

A song of ascents.

I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot slip—
he who watches over you will not slumber;
indeed, he who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.
The Lord watches over you—
the Lord is your shade at your right hand;
the sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night.
The Lord will keep you from all harm—
he will watch over your life;
the Lord will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore.

~ Psalm 121, NIV

Welcome to The Sunday Community. Link up with a photo and just a few, brief words of inspiration – a favorite quote, a favorite line of words from the bible, a short poem, a small thought.

Not many words at all.

Then, extend a bit of hospitality to the others here. Take some time to visit with one another and share a bit of grace. Please grab the Sunday button from the link at the top of the page to post at your place, so others know where to find us.

    When I saw your photo, I smiled all the way down to my heart.  How great is our God.  This was the exact same verse He placed on my heart today.  Our God, the maker of Heaven and Earth. I am always amazed at the creative and bold ways He speaks His precious truth to my heart……over and over and over again.

    I painted the first line of this psalm on the post of my west-facing porch, just where an occupant can see the afternoon sun from midday until it sets over our rolling pasture hills. “I lift mine eyes to the hills…” Indeed.

    I love this Psalm.  I find myself often singing a song made for this Psalm.

    I love Psalm 121!  Love the ruggedness of the photo and the assurance that the psalm brings to our hearts.
